A top-grade malachite cabochon set in a dramatic silver pendant. This piece has been hand crafted from 100% recycled sterling silver and features interesting texturing on the backplate as well as on the crossover detail and bail. A light patina has been added to enhance the details of the texture. The beautiful greens in malachite comes from copper, and it grows in stunning swirls and orbicular patterns, making each stone unique. Approx 42mm across.
To look after your malachite, care must be taken not to expose it to acidic conditions, as this would damage the stone. It is a soft stone (around 4 on the Moh’s scale) so if you wear rings with hard stones (like diamonds and rubies) care should be taken to not scratch it.
